About the Bachelor’s Program in General Medicine
The program falls under the Clinical Medicine field, is delivered full-time, and lasts 6 years. Graduates receive the qualification of physician.
During the first three years, students study humanities, natural sciences, and biomedical disciplines, building a solid scientific foundation and developing essential skills such as clinical reasoning, communication, and teamwork.
From the fourth year, the focus shifts entirely to professional medical disciplines. Students study obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, internal and infectious diseases, surgery, anesthesiology, and emergency and military medicine in depth.
Future doctors learn to diagnose diseases, choose optimal treatments, manage patients in emergency situations, perform preventive and rehabilitative measures, and conduct various medical examinations, including forensic assessments.
Training takes place at the N.V. Sklifosovsky Institute of Clinical Medicine, Russia’s largest medical faculty with 49 departments. Students have access to 21 clinical bases, providing continuous practical training and close interaction with real medical practice.
